Our Podiatry Clinics in Auckland

Botany, St Johns, & Wairau Clinics

Whatever your level of sport or activity, consider consulting with a podiatrist at any of our three Auckland clinics. With extensive experience managing the full spectrum of injuries extending from below the knee to the ankle and foot, our podiatrists can help you optimise lower limb health, empowering you to take full advantage of your work, hobbies, and sports and exercise.

What is Podiatry?

Our musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatrist specialises in diagnosing and treating problems related to the bones, joints, muscles, and soft tissues of the lower limb. Podiatry in Aotearoa New Zealand typically involves treatment of pain, discomfort and injury to one or multiple areas from the knee and below (i.e., knee, ankle, foot, toes).

The focus for our podiatrists is determining how mechanics and foot function can affect the foot/ankle/knee, and as well, have impacts on the remaining kinetic chain. Comprehensive assessments of lower limb function may include one or multiple of identifying individual anatomical and tissue related characteristics, analysing gait patterns secondary to (or contributing to) pain or injury, assessments of strength and endurance, and unpacking adverse exposure to certain activities.

MSK podiatrists often work closely with our Auckland physiotherapy team, and as well, liaise with sports doctors and orthopaedic specialists as needed, to provide holistic care for both acute injuries and long-term conditions.

Podiatry services are an integral addition to the multidisciplinary team at RehabCo. By utilising the expertise of podiatry in developing our treatment plans, we feel we can properly account for injuries with broader complexity.
